The Amazing Magi

Hi.  My name is Michael L. Reist.  I am the owner and teacher at Hershey Magic School.  I decided to open this Magic School because all my life I have been working with children and families and I still love teaching.  I have taught children of all ages in Preschool, Elementary, Middle and High School.  I am retired but still certified to teach in the State of PA.

My first paid “teaching/tutoring” position came when I was in college at Penn State.  I was hired to teach English as a Second Language in a Tutoring Lab on Campus.  After that I taught at all Grade Levels and even taught at Reading Area Community College.

I love Teaching but I also love Magic.  I first became interested in Magic as a Teenager. My favorite magician at the time was Doug Henning.  I performed various shows as a teenager.  But after graduation from High School I served 4 years in the military and then went to Penn State for my Bachelor’s Degree and Kutztown University for my Master’s Degree.

During this time I did not actively do magic.  But about 15 years ago I realized how much I missed Magic, being a Magician and Performing.  I began to practice and then began performing.  I perform under the name of The Amazing Magi and if you would like more information about those services I provide you can click here.  

Magic and Teaching are my passions and I want to use this Marvelous Curriculum from Discover Magic to not only teach your children magic, but to empower them, give them self-confidence, promote their social skills, and teach them fundamental traits that make them both successful magicians and young men and women.

Also rest assured, as a Teacher I have all background checks, liability insurance and more.  Your children will be taught by a Professional who has dedicated his life to teaching and working with children and families.
